ROLLA-V DIES

The Rolla V dies are distinguished from the traditional ones due to the presence of the 2 oscillating rotors on which the sheet rests before the bending phase. Their peculiarity consists in the rotation of the rotors that accompany the sheet during the deformation phase with a drastic reduction of the friction resistance and the possibility of significantly reducing the length of the minimum edge. This type of tool applies the concept of tangential bending whereby the behavior of the sheet metal is different: this is mainly noticeable if there are holes and slots near the bending areas. Thanks to this concept, these areas do not undergo the classic deformations more commonly known as "bending".

VERY SMALL EDGES

Material consumption is always a factor that modern manufacturers must take into account, so even a 5% reduction in profile sides can result in considerable material cost savings.
When using conventional dies, the sheet must rest well on the opening radius of the slot to obtain a good bend without deformation.
Moreover, many profiles may have slots near the bending line or require very small minimum edges; with Rolla V the bending process is different so that the sheet is always resting on the die.

FOLD NEAR HOLES AND SLOTS, INCLUDING PROFILES ON OBLIQUE CUT SHEET, AVOIDING DEFORMATION

Some profiles have edges that shrink as you get closer to the end of the piece.
When these profiles are made using conventional dies, the final part of the fold remains more open because the edge is too small, it is not adequately supported by the die and slips into the slot.
Since the inserts of the Rolla-V dies ensure constant support of the oblique cut sheet edges almost to the bend line, the deformation of the profile is minimized and often not even noticed.

MINIMUM SIGNS OF BENDING

Thanks to the fact that the inserts of the Rolla-V dies support the sheet during the entire bending process, there is no rubbing of the sheet on the entry radii of the slot of a conventional die and consequently the marks on the sheet are significantly less. as the lateral movement effected by the sheet on the inserts is minimal and, contrary to what happens with conventional matrices, the sheet does not slide along any edge of the die, the two straight lines mirroring the bend line that usually appear with conventional dies do not appear.

ELIMINATE FURTHER MACHINING OPERATIONS

Many profiles must be aesthetically perfect and without marks either because they have to be positioned on sight or because they have to be painted after bending. Thanks to the use of Rolla-V matrices it is possible to significantly reduce the costly polishing operations following the bending, since the traditional straight lines mirroring the bending line are absent, which usually appear when bending with traditional matrices and other scratches or other scratches are reduced to a minimum fold marks. Thanks to the elimination of further processing steps, production costs decrease and, more importantly, delivery times are reduced.
