One of the most common systems to eliminate the marks on the sheet during the bending phase is the use of ROLFILM. It is a film made with different thicknesses that is interposed between the sheet and the matrix.
The different models are necessary according to the thicknesses we have to bend: the minimum thickness is 0.4 mm (0.02 ") while the maximum is 2.0 mm (0.08").
ROLFILM is a film made in bands of 100, 150 and 200 mm (3.94 ", 5.90" and 7.87 ").
In this way it is possible to use the entire surface by exploiting the translation on the X axis: for example, using a slot with a 20 mm opening, we have at least 15/20 useful positions on the same band before advancing the whole sheet.
The rolls are configured with the following lengths: 3,10,20,30 meters.
A very useful accessory to make the most of the ROLFILM working range is the pair of CT tensioners. Each tensioner is mounted at the end of the die through a clamp which is fixed on the stem. In its upper part there is the area in which to insert the film.
The two tensioners placed one in front of the other are essential to calibrate the right tension of the sheet for correct use.
ROLFILM film has excellent elastic and compressive properties, therefore the corrections to be made to the program on the CNC are minimal.
A useful advice we give to maximize the duration of the film in the same position on the matrix, is to combine the ROLFILM with matrices with increased radius.
